Art exhibition: When the day lasts as long as the night.
Opening Event: Saturday 25 March, 4:00 PM.

The focal point of the exhibition When the day lasts as long as the night is a work that forms part of a larger series. It began in Galería Mar Dulce with Waldeinsamkeit, or the sensation of being alone in a wood (2014) and we revisited it with The Last Leaves (2015). Repeating exactly the same format of a polyptych of nine frames, coming together as a single image, Sofía Wiñazki now takes us back to the wood that she first revealed to us first in autumn, then in winter. This time, however, we are in spring. Like a photogram extracted from a yearlong film, Wiñazki captures an instant of nature in movement. We find the detailed and exhaustive description of the same wood, reaching at last the vitality of the greens and browns that appear with the rise in temperature. Wiñazki transports us into nature far from civilization, a silent world without the chatter of words. (edited version of the catalogue text by Gachi Hasper)
Sofía Wiñazki was born in 1985, in Caseros, Buenos Aires. She studied Visual Arts in National University Art Institute (IUNA) and painting with Patricio Larrambebere. In 2011 and 2012 she attended Eduardo Stupía’s drawing workshop in Di Tella University and in 2016 she participated in the contemporary art practice programme Proyecto PAC. She was selected in the Banco Itaú prize and the Fundación Williams prize in 2012. In 2007 and 2009 she was selected for the editions of Proyecto A and in 2008 and 2009 for the project “Joven y efímero” in Centro Cultural Parque de España (Rosario). She taught drawing in IUNA from 2008 to 2010.
Galería Mar Dulce specialises in small and medium format artwork in painting, drawing, print, photography, artists’ books and objects, produced by classic and contemporary Argentine artists. To accompany When the day lasts as long as the night we present +COLLECTIVE44, a specially curated selection of works by Laura Romano, Agustín Galickas, Roberta Di Paolo, Cecilia Afonso Esteves, Lucila Biscione, Isol, Marina Zanollo, Pablo Mattioli, Adriana Torres, Andy Mermet, Krysthopher Woods and Sofía Álvarez Watson, amongst others.
Venue: Galería Mar Dulce, Uriarte 1490, Palermo Soho, Buenos Aires
Opening Event: Saturday 25 March, 4-8pm
Normal Opening Hours: Tuesday to Saturday 3-8pm
Exhibition ends: Saturday 6 May 2017

Ummagumma - Tribute to Pink Ployd.
Thursday 1 and Friday 2 June at 9:00 PM.

Ummagumma Tribute to Pink Floyd was formed in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in early 1998. The group's name comes from Pink Floyd double album released in 1969.
Ten musicians on stage will play at Sala Siranush Pink Floyd music faithfully respecting the work done on records and live performances, accompanied by a large visual display generating a first level multimedia show, among which is the traditional circular arc video screen, an inflatable 6 meters pig, the plane used in The Wall, and a significant amount of robotic lights and special effects.
Ummagumma, throughout its history, has developed its shows at various stages and important theaters of the City of Buenos Aires (Gran Rex, Opera, Coliseo etc.), multiple cities in Argentina, and South American countries like Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Uruguay.
In 2015 performed the "The Pink Floyd Experience" tour with two of the original chorus singers of Pink Floyd, Durga and Lorelei McBroom sisters.
Ummagumma is characterized by interpreting in their shows songs from all the albums of the band, touring the story of Pink Floyd from the '60s to the '90s.
